Which aspect of photography do you specialise in and what did you study at the university?
I’m a wedding photographer and a serial entrepreneur. I’m a graduate of Psychology from Tai Solarin University, Ijebu-Ode.
How did you discover photography?
I started photography in 2010/2011 when I got back to Ibadan . I joined a photography school in Ibadan because they were the best then. I worked with them till 2012 before I started my own brand (Think It Photography)
Challenges?
Setting up then remains the same as they are now. The main hurdle is getting clients. You can take the best photos in the world but if people don’t know about you, then it’s hard to get more clients through the door. Sometimes, after calling your price to a client and it seems over the bar for him/her, you’ll hear something like ‘ is it not just to be snapped?’. Personally, this has been a challenge for me and I try enlightening some clients, but how many do we have to enlighten?
What other projects are you into?
I’m the convener of the Ibadan Wedding Awards, an event that recognises the outstanding achievements of wedding professionals from all industry categories over the past years. This platform allows wedding professionals to celebrate, network, and foster closer relationships amongst themselves, enhancing a communal spirit. I’m also the organiser of the most consistent rave party in the city, ‘Think It All White Party’.
As a matter of fact, we are currently planning the fourth edition of the Ibadan Wedding Awards and the eighth edition of ‘Think It All White Party’.
