The men’s fellowship of the Christ Apostolic Church, Gbaremu Centre, The Valours, Imalefalafia, Ibadan, Oyo State, has honoured the Chief Press Secretary to the Oyo State governor, Mr Sulaimon Olanrewaju; entrepreneur, Mr Michael Kolade and the presiding pastor of the church, Pastor Claudius Olaiya, with excellence awards, at the 2023 Men’s convention of the church.
Other recipients of awards included Mr Oluwatoyin Apooyin, who was honoured as the patron of the men’s fellowship, while Mrs Olubunmi Fijabi was recognised as a Respectful Leader and a Gospel Promoter, and Mr and Mrs Abiodun Ademola won the Best Couple award.
The grand finale of the three-day convention had a presentation of a lecture by Olanrewaju, entitled, “Mandate to Flourish as a Man in Godly Marriage, Careers/Professions.”
Olanrewaju stressed that anyone who wished to achieve his or her mandate in life must put God first in all endeavours, have proper plan and be disciplined in all ramifications.
Mr Kolade, who spoke on “Mandates to be Outstanding Beyond Barriers and Unfriendly Situation of Nigeria,” urged Christians to be prayerful, Wbe confident to take risks and give more to God even in the midst of hard times.
