PRESIDENT Muhammadu Buhari on Thursday met with three governors from the north-west at the presidential villa, Abuja.
The governors who are all members of the ruling All Progressive Congress (APC), include Chairman of the Nigeria Governors Forum (NGF) and Governor of Zamfara State, Abdulaziz Yari: his Jigawa and Kebbi counterparts, Abubakar Badaru and Bagudu Atiku, respectively.
Also present at the meeting was the Chief of Staff to the President, Abba Kyari and some security chiefs.

When approached by correspondents after the meeting, the governors were reluctant to talk.
However, when asked whether the meeting was over the breakup of the APC, Yari, retorted: “It was not about APC. It was a private business.”
It came at the heels of the formation of Reformed APC on Wednesday by some aggrieved members of the party.
