According to a release from the National Headquarters of the non-denominational Christian body, the appointments, which took immediate effect was among the measures announced by the newly re-elected National President of the Fellowship, Arc. Ifeanyi Odedo, to consolidate on efforts to fulfil its mandate.
It added that Barrister Mustapha, until his appointment as SGF, has been the National Vice-President, International Outreaches to the organization- a position he retains.
Others include Engineer Okeoma Agu- National Vice-President, Conventions and Barrister Isaac Okpanachi- National Vice-President, National Outreaches. Arc. Adebowale Ademola, however, became the National Vice President- Capacity Building, to replace the late former National Vice-President, Engineer Adetokunbo Obayan, who died last year.
The National President also announced the creation of two additional districts, bringing the operational districts in Nigeria to 24. The new districts include North Central Five District- carved out of North Central One District and South-South Four District- carved out from South-South One District.
Two new District Coordinators were appointed to lead the newly carved out districts namely: Dr Jeremiah Abutu and Mr. Festus Nwokafor, respectively.
Similarly, a new District Coordinator, Mr. David Maseli, has been appointed to superintends over the North Central One District, whose former District Coordinator, Mr. Victor Emmanuel has been moved to the headquarters as the Chairman, National Conventions Committee, while a new National Committee of Media and Publicity came on stream with the Chief Press Secretary (CPS) to the Federal Capital Territory (FCT) Minister, Mr. Cosmas Uzodinma as its new Chairman.
In a letter communicating to the new appointments, the National Secretary, Dr Charles Ayanbene indicated that National President made the appointments with the conviction that, as the Fellowship depends on the Holy Spirit, it hopes to grow the work in leaps and bounds in the next three years.
