Beta Glass Plc, a member of the Frigoglass Group and a leading manufacturer of glass packaging in West and Central Africa, has announced the appointment of Alexander Gendis as its new Chief Executive Officer, effective September 30, 2024. The move is part of the company’s strategic plans to strengthen its operations and drive further growth in both Nigerian and international markets.
Gendis, who has over 25 years of experience in the manufacturing and packaging sectors, has held leadership positions in various regions, including Africa, Europe, and Southeast Asia. His expertise spans supply chain management, business operations, and team leadership. Most recently, he served as Managing Director of a Nigerian manufacturing company, where he focused on enhancing operational efficiency and driving revenue growth. His career also includes roles in Ethiopia and leadership positions with global consumer goods companies.

In a statement, Dr. Vitus Chidiebere Ezinwa, Chairman of Beta Glass, highlighted the significance of this appointment in supporting the company’s growth objectives.
