Bauchi State Governor, Bala Abdulkadir Mohammed, has commended members of the State Executive Council (SEC) over the systematic implementation of the 2025 appropriation budget, saying that it has been “So far, so good.”
Presiding over the SEC meeting at the Executive Chambers of the Governor’s Office, Bauchi, the Governor announced that the State has surpassed expectations in its 2025 budget implementation, achieving over 70 per cent performance at this stage of the fiscal year.
Bala Mohammed attributed the success recorded so far to the sincerity and fidelity of his administration, noting that revenue inflows had exceeded initial projections.
He explained that the additional resources, sourced both internally and externally, would allow the state to expand ongoing projects and initiatives before the year ends.
The governor also revealed that critical projects, including a N30 billion initiative previously not fully captured in cash flow projections, were now on course, alongside key policy thrusts in forestry management, education, agriculture, and multilateral partnerships.
He urged council members to sustain their momentum, stressing that the administration is in its second phase of the last tenure, “there’s a need to continue working assiduously with the passion of leaving a lasting legacy.”
The governor reiterated that there will be a virement in some allocations in order to accommodate more developmental projects and programmes for the good of the people of Bauchi State.
Bala Mohammed then thanked the cabinet members for their cooperation so far, encouraging them, however, to make even greater efforts to continue pushing to be able to cover all identified gaps.
