Baptista begins 2020 on a high note, drops singles

Titilope Baptist-Sanusi popularly known as “Baptista” has begun 2020 on an interesting note, as the singer drops a dual single titled; “Ore Bi Jesu” and “Sufficient God.”

“Ore bi Jesu” is a Yoruba traditional song infused with an ancient hymn which translates into “no one ever cares for me like jesus.”

In an interview with Sunday Tribune the singer explained that the second track “Sufficient God was born out of a personal experience she had with God and of his promise never to leave nor forsake her.

Baptista also added the track came from an emotional angle of how she was surprised by God every single time the needs arise.

According to Baptista, “I fell in love with the first verse of the song “no leniyan” after my father woke up one morning and started singing the song, I wonder why he sings the song, but I fell in love with the song, knowing fully well how God has been with me even before my birth, to add to this”. Also, the singer added that the song was about her delivery which was a miracle.

Additionally, Baptista said; “No one ever cares for me” is a hymnal song that came immediately as I thought of doing a song on “n o leniyan.” I never came across the song until one day I heard the song at the MFM tent maker rehearsal, I then fell so in love with the song. That was how I wrote the songs together.

She added that there is no other song that could explain these two songs better in Yoruba language other than “Ore bi Jesu.”

Baptista has been singing since 2016 to present, and has couple of track to back up her over four years experience

She reportedly added that she draws inspiration from Dr D.K. Olukoya and the holy spirit who minister to her on every of hersong she has dropped
