Banditry: Southern Kaduna community lauds Gov Sani for military base approval

Residents of Barga community in Kachia Local Government Area of Kaduna State have commended Governor Uba Sani for approving a Military Forward Operations Base (FOB) to combat banditry and insecurity in the area.

The community had been plagued by kidnappings, cattle rustling, and attacks, forcing many to abandon their homes and farmlands.

The community leader, Zanko Adamu, expressed gratitude for the governor’s prompt response to their request, saying the base will help stem the tide of insecurity.

Residents, including Mark Bawa and Hannatu Dikko, noted that the base will revive hope, boost economic activities, and restore access to education.

The Chairman of Kachia Local Government Council, Dr. Manzo Maigari, stated that the base will serve as a strategic point for swift military response and surveillance, and urged the community to provide local intelligence to security agencies.

The stakeholders lauded the governor for listening to the community’s pleas and working to address the security challenges.
