The appointment of Mal Nuhu Ribadu as the National Security Adviser (NSA) to President Bola Ahmed Tinubu has been described as the best thing to have happened in the fight against insecurity in Nigeria.
The assertion was made by the Gombe State Governor, Muhammadu Inuwa Yahaya and Chairman, Nothern States Governors’ Forum, when he paid a visit to the National Security Adviser, NSA, Malam Nuhu Ribadu in his office in Abuja.
Inuwa Yahaya commended President Bola Ahmed Tinubu for appointing Nuhu Ribadu to man such a strategic position, especially at this critical time.
The Governor described the appointment as a ’round peg in a round hole’, saying that it will boost the fight against insecurity across the.
Inuwa expressed confidence that as a retired Police Chief and pioneer Chairman of the Economic and Financial Crimes Commission (EFCC) with sound legal, security, anti-corruption and political backgrounds, Malam Nuhu Ribadu has all it takes to coordinate the activities of the security chiefs and foster inter-agency synergy to guarantee the peace and stability of the country.
The governor was accompanied by the Federal Commissioner at the Revenue Mobilization, Allocation and Fiscal Commission, Malam Muhammad Kabir Usman Kukandaka.
He then extended the goodwill, solidarity and best wishes of, not only the government and people of Gombe State but the entire Northern region.
