The Forum of State Chairmen of the All Progressives Congress (APC) may have endorsed Architect Waziri Bulama aspiration for the office of national secretary of the party. Bulama was Deputy Director General (Coordination) of the APC Presidential Campaign Council (PCC).
The immediate past national secretary of the party, Mallam Mai Mala is the sitting Yobe State Governor. Hon. Victor Gaidom has been serving in an acting capacity since Mallam Buni vacated the opposition.
Party source revealed that the Forum of State chairmen endorsed Architect Bulama at its meeting held last week in Abuja. The Forum at its meeting expressed concern over what they perceived as lack of activities at the party national secretariat and believe that a substantive National Secretary of the party would make the party busy and bring more positive attention.
Further findings revealed that other groups that have endorsed Bulama, include President Muhammadu Buhari Support Organisation (BSO).

“We have agreed to work with him. We agreed to stand with him having listened to him and watched his tall credentials.
“We need someone who can stand for our party, who is intelligent and has a lot of things working in his favour. We hail his credentials, we hail his integrity and sacrifice for our party as well as his commitment to our party and we said we will stand with him.”
Secretary of the Forum, Dr Ben Nwoye confirmed that the Forum met but however declined comments on Bulama’s endorsement.
