A chieftain of the All Progressives Congress (APC), Otunba Rotimi Ajanaku has lauded the political leadership style and contribution of the former governor of Oyo state, Oba Rashidi Ladoja to the development of Ibadanland and Oyo state as a whole.
Ajanaku in his birthday congratulatory message stated that the influence of Ladoja in the political landscape of Oyo state remains unmatched.
He described him as a man whose resilience and divine protection have made him “more solid than the Rock of Gibraltar.”
According to him, the octogenarian monarch embodies leadership in its most genuine form—an unwavering guide for both the privileged and the less fortunate, whose life is a testament to God’s enduring grace.
Ajanaku said, “I struggle to find the right words to honor you, Kabiyesi. You are a leader who not only shares your platform but offers your goodwill to younger generations, giving them the opportunity to realize their dreams. You give strength to the weak and voice to the voiceless, and in a world often driven by self-interest, you consistently stand for truth, no matter the cost. This consistency has made you dependable, trustworthy, and respected across the spectrum.”
For Ajanaku, Oba Ladoja’s personal qualities elevate him beyond mere achievements. His contentment and integrity, Ajanaku noted, have set him apart from others whose greed leads to exploitation. “Your contentment has no equal, which is why God continues to shield you with health, strength, and vitality—even more than those who seek to mortgage our future for personal gain. Your presence in my life, showing up at my most important moments, providing me with your support and your strong shoulder to lean on, distinguishes you as not just a leader, but a father par excellence.”
