A chieftain of the All Progressives Congress (APC) and former chief protocol to a former governor of Anambra State, Willie Obiano, Uzu Okagbue, has declared that Paul Chukwuma remains the party’s best candidate to lead the APC to victory in Anambra governorship election scheduled for November 8, 2025.
Okagbue made the assertion on Friday, at his Umunnachi residence, in the Dunukofia local government area of the state while addressing the newly inaugurated Anambra Central Senatorial District Local Government Coordinators for Paul Chukwuma APC primary election campaign council.
The senatorial district comprises seven council areas, Anaocha, Awka South, Awka North, Dunukofia, Njikoka, Idemili North and Idemili South respectively.
According to him, Chukwuma remains the best APC faithful that has all the leadership ingredients; politically, religion, socially and economically to confront and unseat the incumbent Governor Charles Soludo of the All Progressive Grand Alliance (APGA) come November 8, 2025.
“He has the national reach. He is the only APC aspirant who is fully prepared for the election. He is the long-serving APC member among the party aspirants who have served as APC National auditor, and National youth leader. He is also interested in institutionalising the party in Anambra State. He is a committed Christian who has made a lot of spiritual investment to the Christian society.
“I am supporting his ambition because of his effort and commitment towards the wellbeing of Ndi-Anambra.
“We need him to come and address the uncontrollable insecurity in Anambra State.
“We will win Anambra and we will stand by Paul Chukwuma because he is the best person to lead APC to victory. If we must win the November 8, 2025, guber race, we must stand together in unity andan open mind. A house divided against itself cannot stand,” he noted.
Okagbue while commending the state executive of the party led by Chief Basil Ejidike on their continued effort in uniting the party, urged the newly inaugurated coordinators to commence door-door mobilization campaign for Chukwuma victory at the April 5, 2025, APC primary and the general election.
The coordinators, in their unanimous acceptance speech, also promised to deliver Sir Chukwuma at the party’s Primary.
