Anambra State Governor, Chief Willie Obiano, says his administration is working towards lighting up the one hundred and seventy-nine communities across the State.
Speaking at Nibo in Awka South Local Government Area yesterday, during the light switch-on ceremony for Awka-Isiagu-Nibo ring-road, Governor Obiano disclosed that his government has lit up streets of more than one hundred and twenty communities across the State promising that the programme will be sustained.

The Governor who was accompanied by his Wife Mrs. Ebelechukwu disclosed that series of interventions and infrastructural projects have been executed in Awka Capital Territory including the recent award of contract for the reconstruction of internal roads in the area.
Governor Obiano re-assured that he will use the remaining years of his administration to execute more people-oriented projects.

In a remark, the Commissioner for Public Utilities, Chief Obi Nwankwo reiterated the commitment of the Obiano administration to the light up Anambra project, adding that the initiative has impacted positively on the lives of the citizenry.
The traditional ruler of Nibo, Eze Michael Ngene, who performed the switch on ceremony, commended Governor Obiano for the initiative.
