Speaker of the Anambra State House of Assembly, Rt. Hon. Somtochukwu Udeze, says Governor Chukwuma Soludo has made practical efforts within one year and four months in office to step up development in all sectors of the state economy.
In his goodwill message to the Governor on behalf of the State Legislature on his sixty-third birthday, Rt. Hon. Udeze noted that Governor Soludo has used his professional training as a renowned Professor of Economics in ensuring prudent management of the state’s resources for the benefit of the citizenry.
The Speaker recounted some of the accomplishments of Governor Soludo so far, including massive employment of teachers and doctors, ongoing road constructions in all the local government areas, rehabilitation of local government secretariats, the transformation of Awka into a befitting state capital, building of more general hospitals, provision of adequate security, and improved agricultural production, among others.
He maintained that the State Legislature has resolved to continue supporting Governor Soludo’s development efforts through the enactment of people-oriented laws and resolutions, and called on politicians in the state, irrespective of their party affiliations, to join hands with the governor in moving the state forward.
The Speaker, while wishing Governor Soludo more eventful years ahead, prayed to God to continue strengthening the governor for more accomplishments.
The congratulatory message was signed and made available to journalists in Awka on Friday, by the Assembly’s Public Relations Officer, Mr. Emma Madu.
