Alumni key in improving school infrastructure, Loyola College old students

THE 1997 alumni of Loyola College, Ibadan marked its 20th graduation anniversary with the renovation of a block of four classrooms, provision of 70 units of classroom infrastructure and donation of sporting items to their alma mater.

At the handover of the items, Chairman of the set, Mr Adedamola Abiola said the gesture was to revive dilapidating infrastructures towards ensuring that students have the enabling environment to thrive academically.

In their various remarks, the alumni identified the need for old students associations to be involved in maintaining good infrastructure and high quality of education.

This is just as the set said it was considering awarding scholarships and payment of WAEC registration fees of some outstanding students of the current SSS 3 set.

The three days event also saw series of events had among others Archbishop of the Catholic Archdiocese of Ibadan, Most Reverend Gabriel Abegunrin, national and state alumni executives and members of the 1997 set in attendance.
