THE Ogun Patriotic Front (OPF) has urged the governorship candidate of the Allied Peoples Movement (APM), Hon Adekunle Akinlade, to accept the outcome of the March 9 governorship polls in good faith.
The group also advised Akinlade to congratulate the governor-elect, Prince Dapo Abiodun, on his victory in the election.
The group in a statement made available to Tribune Online and signed by its Executive Director, Dr Ibikunle Oredipe, noted that the outcome of the election was an indication that Abiodun and his party, the All Progressives Congress enjoyed wide acceptability from the people across the state.

OPF noted that the final result presented a good showing by the APM candidate in the election and congratulated him for even putting himself forward to serve the state.
It also advised Akinlade not to challenge the governorship result at the Tribunal but rather displayed the spirit of sportsmanship as done by Prince Gboyega Nasir Isiaka of African Democratic Congress, (ADC) and Senator Buruji Kasamu of the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP).
OPF stated that any attempt by Mr Akinlade to approach the tribunal, which is his legal right, would be an affront on the collective interest and generality of the people of Ogun state, who have made their choice of a governor in Prince Abiodun for the next 4 years.
The body urged Abiodun to always make wide consultations on key state matters and urged him to run an all-inclusive and transparent government.
