The Speaker of the House of Representatives, Tajudeen Abbas, in a bid to mitigate the planned strike by Nigerian Association of Resident Doctors (NARD), has set up an ad hoc committee to meet with President Bola Tinubu.
The Speaker further appealed to the resident doctors to give the house leadership a two-week period to find solutions to the issues raised.
The meeting was held largely behind closed doors but Abass made his line of action public in a memo he posted on his official Twitter handle, Monday, 24th of July, 2023.
