THE vice chancellor of Adekunle Ajasin University, Akungba Akoko, Ondo State, Professor Igbekele Ajibefun, says the revelation that AAUA products constitute a substantial percentage of the newly-recruited administrative officers in the state’s civil service is an attestation to the quality of graduates being produced in the university.
Ajibefun stated this on Thursday last week when the acting Permanent Secretary, Service Matters Department in the Office of the Head of Service, Mr. Bayo Philip, told the university management that about 14 of the 50 new Admin Officers are graduates of AAUA.
The team was in the university as part of their orientation and familiarisation visits round the state.
He specially congratulated some of the officers who are AAUA alumni, notind that their employment is a testimony to the critical roles of the university in not just the state, but across the globe.
Ajibefun urged them to continue to be good ambassadors of the university.

The vice chancellor said the Adekunle Ajasin University has carved an enviable niche for itself in the comity of institutions in Nigeria and beyond, and has become a veritable source of qualitatively-trained manpower to the national space.
Speaking earlier, the leader of the team, Mr. Bayo Philip, had informed the gathering that the 50 newly-hired officers were chosen after several rigorous rounds of academic and mental tests.
He further lauded the contributions of AAUA to the manpower development of the state. He also informed the gathering that the visit was part of the team’s familiarization tour of important places and institutions in the state.
University souvenir was later presented to the team leader by the Registrar, Michael S. Ayeerun, who also appreciated the team on behalf of the management.
