Political analyst, Abdulmalik Suleiman has said that Kano State governor, Abba Kabir Yusuf, has built his achievements on transparency, accountability and prudent management of public resources.

Speaking in Kano on Wednesday, Suleiman stated that the governor believes in orderly governance and maintaining the trust placed in him by the people of the state.

He explained that Yusuf’s administration’s adherence to due process, prevention of leakages and careful spending had restored public confidence and freed resources for development.

Suleiman cited interventions in education, healthcare and infrastructure, as well as the regular payment of pensions and gratuities, as evidence of the administration’s performance.

He described Governor Yusuf as a strong supporter of President Bola Tinubu, saying he would support the President in Kano in 2027 because of his goodwill among residents.

He added that the governor’s perceived popularity is linked to what he described as the administration’s fulfilment of its promises to the people.

Suleiman stressed that the second term for Governor Yusuf would build on the foundation already laid, describing it as an opportunity for further consolidation, growth and development in Kano.

He urged Kano residents to sustain their support for the administration, saying continued backing would enable it to advance its development agenda.
