LEADERS and members of the All Progressives Congress (APC), in Ikenne Local Government Area of Ogun State, have thrown their weights behind the candidature of Prince Dapo Abiodun and promised to vote massively for him in the next year election.
Their position was made known on Wednesday at Ikenne during a solidarity rally to support the declaration of the National leadership of the party which announced Abiodun as the winner of the governorship primary election.
Addressing the party members, the trio of Idowu Solaru, Mohammed Olaitan and Oyenuga Ayomide, described Abiodun as an experienced politician who will turn around the state if voted as the governor.

They jointly supported and endorsed him as the standard bearer of the party in the 2019 elections, despite moves in some quarters to reverse his emergence.
Solaru urged the entire party members in the local government to canvass for votes for Abiodun to ensure his victory at the polls.
He wondered why there are so many sponsored protests against his emergence, thereby calling on the State Governor, Senator Ibikunle Amosun, to accept the outcome of the primary in the interest of the party in particular and the State in general.
“It is on the note that members of the party across the state voted for Abiodun to emerge as the party’s governorship candidate. The result of the election was announced by the National Working Committee given the mandate to conduct the election. The election was properly conducted. Abiodun is the man for the job.
“We must appreciate our governor for transforming the state. He should be rest assured that Abiodun will continue from where he has stopped. We are appealing to him to support Abiodun,” he added.
Olaitan and Oyenuga in their remarks corroborated Solaru, saying party members in the council area would use their Permanent Voter Cards to vote for Abiodun.
