2019: INEC releases names of political parties candidates for senatorial polls in Anambra

AnambraTHE  Independent National Electoral Commission, INEC, in Anambra State has released the list of candidates of various parties, for 2019 National Assembly election at its office in Awka.
The names published by INEC were submitted to the Commission by their Political Parties in line with section thirty-one subsection three of the Electoral Act.

According to the release, Anambra Central Senatorial District, among others, has Senator Victor Umeh as APGA candidate, Senator Uche Ekwunife, APC, and Mr Charles Odunukwe, PDP.
In Anambra South, the APGA candidate for the election is Mr Nicholas Ukachukwu, while Senator Andy Uba is the candidate of the APC, and his younger brother, Chief Chris Uba is the candidate of the PDP.
For Anambra North Senatorial zone, APGA candidate for the election is Prince Chinedu Emeka, APC has Senator Magery Okadigbo as its flag-bearer, while Senator Stella Oduah is PDP candidate for the election.
Speaking to journalists after publication of the names, the Head of Department, Voter Education and Publicity, Mr Leo Ikedife revealed that the comprehensive list of candidates for 2019 House of Representatives and Presidential elections will be published later today while the list of candidates and political parties that will contest the 2019 House of Assembly election in Anambra State will be released on the second of November 2018.
