As the 2017 annual convention of the Redeemed Christian Church of God (RCCG) ended on Sunday, more births were recorded, making a total of 106 babies in seven days.
The ‘baby rush,’ which began on the first day of the week-long programme, climaxed with an additional 12 arrivals on Sunday, as ordination of full-time pastors drew the curtains on the events highlighting the 65th convention.
When the anointing service ran at the weekend, the figure stood at 94 babies.
On the final analysis, it was 60 boys and 46 girls, with three boys and nine girls added on the final day.
Outstanding testimonies also dominated the programme, with a popular actor with Mount Zion Drama Ministries, Isaac Ore-Adewole, testifying to miraculous recovery of his damaged vocal cord.
The vocal cord was said to have been mismanaged by doctors.
Speaking at the Sunday thanksgiving service, the General Overseer of the church, Pastor Enoch Adeboye, said he was the most blessed GO, while recounting all the wonderful deeds of God during the yearly programme.
During the Friday Holy Ghost service, he brought out the wooden staff handed over to him by the late founder of the church, Pa. Josiah Akindayomi and symbolically lifted it up, for miracles to begin in the lives of the congregants.
He noted that the wooden staff of authority was rarely brought out and whenever such happened, it was always at the directive of the Holy Spirit.
