Their defections were made known in the separate letters read by Speaker Yakubu Dogara at the plenary yesterday
However, in the letters, the lawmakers commended the APC for providing the platform for them to serve the nation and stated that it was time for them to move on to further their political careers somewhere else.
In the Communication read by Speaker Dogara, Hon Dada Awoleye, representing Ibadan North Federal Constituency of Oyo State, defected to Accord Party while Hon. Segun William, Abeokuta South Federal Constituency of Ogun State, defected to Labour Party.
Also, Hon Hassan Lawali representing Anka/Mafara Federal Constituency of Zamfara state defected to the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) while Hon Adesina Adedapo, representing Ibadan North-East/South- East Federal Constituency of Oyo State defected to the African Democratic Congress (ADC).

There was a wild jubilation among lawmakers as the speaker announced the defections.
TribuneOnline gathered that the new defection might not be unconnected with the outcome on the recent Party primaries in their respective states during which they failed to secure re-election tickets to the National Assembly.
