ACTING President, Professor Yemi Osinbajo has commended Sona Agro Allied Foods on its quality products delivery and its cashew biscuit, describing the product manufactured locally as a clear recognition of Federal Government’s policy on backward integration.
“It is an excellent product by Sona Agro Allied Foods,” Acting President Yemi Osinbajo remarked after tasting for the first time the cashew biscuit Sona Bites brand during the exhibition organised by the Ogun State Chapter of Manufacturers Association of Nigeria, (MAN) in Abeokuta.
The Acting President, who expressed delight at the good quality taste of the locally-produced premium biscuit brand, especially its crunchiness also expressed his excitement that the product, because of these qualities, is fast taking the place of imported biscuit products in the local market.
Osinbajo also commended the company on its commitment to the local content initiative; since almost 90 per cent of raw materials being used for the biscuit are sourced locally.
“I want to specially commend your company’s commitment to backward integration by depending on locally sourced raw materials in your manufacturing, as well as appreciate you for contributing to job creation. It is needless to say that the federal government isvery passionate about this,” he stated.
