Zoe College, Ogbomoso, is one of the only four schools approved by the West African Examination Council (WAEC) to write the first-ever CBWASSCE in Oyo State. Other schools are Sharon Rose in Saki, The Lord’s School in Oyo and The Concord School in Ibadan.
The rigorous accreditation exercise was led by the Southwest Regional Co-ordinator of WAEC. Zoe Schools carried the banner for Ogbomoso and made the city proud.
The next WAEC, which starts from April 24, 2025, shall be written in CBT (Computer-Based Test) in those four centres in Oyo State. Of all the schools that fought for the CBWASSCE accreditation centres in Oyo State, only Zoe Schools and three others met the requirements.
The Permanent Secretary and Inspector General of Education, Rev. Dr. Dele Oyedokun, in his congratulatory message to the Director of Zoe Schools Ogbomoso, Rev. Niyi Adebayo, expressed joy that a school in Ogbomoso Zone could meet up with the rigorous accreditation exercise.
Parents of Zoe Schools have also been pouring encomiums on the management of Zoe Schools for investing heavily in technology and innovations, which have now paid off. Zoe Schools has been conducting its internal exams in CBT for almost eight years. This was described as one of the outstanding reasons that gave Zoe Schools an edge.
Full of gratitude to God, the parents, members of staff and the management team, the Director of Zoe Schools said it’s a result of collective dedication. To guarantee 100% success in the exam, the management of Zoe Schools camped all the WAEC candidates in the school’s hostel from April 14 to June 30 for intensive coaching, group discussion, tutorials deeper exposure to CBT. More professionals have been invited to partner with Zoe teachers for the grooming exercises.
