The Executive Chairman of Zamfara State Universal Basic Education Board (ZUBEB), Professor Nasir Anka has awarded three primary school Head Teachers and a Principal of Junior Secondary School for diligence to duty and outstanding performances in the state.
Speaking during the Presentation of the awards to the beneficiaries on Wednesday at the board’s headquarters in Gusau, Professor Anka, said the gesture was in recognition of their excellent performance and to further boost the morale of teachers in the state.
His words, “I assessed the awardees during my recent unscheduled working visit to their respective schools”. He stressed.
“I decided to reward them because I was impressed with what I saw, it gave me courage to support them .That is why today surprisingly I invited them to my office without informing them,non of them knew my intention about this award,” He added.

Professor Anka further noted that as part of his resolve to give confidence to his leadership and encourage output of teachers,”currently I am in the process of organizing an annual award program for Head Teachers and Junior Secondary School principals and teachers across the 14 local government ares of the state as motivation towards productivity”. He assured.
Those awarded are Isah Musa from Army Children primary School Gusau, Aminu Jibril from Science Primary School Gusau, Binta Malam Dogo from Shattima Model Primary School and Zulaihat Muhammad of Government Day Secondary School, Gusau.
Each of the awardee was presented with one fan, laptop and science kits.
The ZUBEB Chairman has called on teachers to pray for the present administration of Governor Dauda Lawal for him to fulfill his campaign promises in the state.
