The All Progressive Congress (APC) in Zamfara State has mourned the demise of an elder statesman, Alhaji Yusuf Danhausa, who died at the age of 126 years.
In a statement issued Saturday by the Zamfara APC publicity secretary, Yusuf Idris, described the death of Danhausa as a great loss to the entire state and country at large.
“On behalf of the Zamfara State chapter of the All Progressives Congress APC, its leaders, executives and members, the state Chairman, Hon. Tukur Umar Danfulani wishes to extend the party’s heartfelt condolences to the family of late Alhaji Yusuf DanHausa, who passed on Wednesday in the state.
“Alhamdulillah, Alhaji Yusuf DanHausa, who died at the stunning age of 126 years, lived a highly impactful life worthy of emulation.
“Though he lived a life that saw different generational changes, his death has created a vacuum that cannot be quantified or replaced.
“May his gentle soul continue to rest in Jannaatu Firdausi, and may Allah accord the family the fortitude to bear this great loss.”
Meanwhile, Zamfara state APC has also condoled with the chairman of Zamfara state Hajj Commission, Alhaji Musa Mallaha, over the death of his son, Abdul Munafi, who was killed by armed bandits in the state.
“It is with a heavy and highly disturbed heart that the Zamfara State chapter Chairman of the All Progressives Congress APC, Hon. Tukur Umar Danfulani on behalf of the party’s State Working Committee, Executives and members wishes to condole Alhaji Musa Mallaha and family over last Thursday’s gunmen attack on his Gusau residence which led to the death of his son, Abdulmunafi.
“May Allah grant the deceased a home in Jannaatu Firdausi, and may Allah accept his Shahaadah aamiin.
“We are equally touched and appalled by the abduction of other members who are currently being held by their assailants and pray Allah saves them in good health soonest.
“We once again wish to implore the state government to employ more strategies to cause a final end to the activities of armed bandits and other criminalities in our state.
“We also pray for the continued unity, stability, and development of Zamfara State and the country at large, the statement said.
