The Yobe State Commissioner of Police, Emmanuel Ado, has extended his warmest wishes to the Muslim community in the state on the occasion of the Eid-el-Fitr celebrations.
In a goodwill message conveyed through the Police Public Relations Officer, SP Dungus Abdulkarim, Ado assured residents of strengthened security measures before, during, and after the festivities, emphasising that ensuring safety is a collective responsibility.
To guarantee a peaceful celebration, the Police Command has deployed officers to conduct visible patrols across the state, covering major routes, residential areas, prayer grounds, recreational centres, and critical infrastructure.
The Command also issued a warning to motorists, urging them to avoid reckless driving and excessive speeding, which could lead to accidents and security threats. Additionally, the Commissioner cautioned youths against engaging in activities that could disrupt public peace or compromise security at playgrounds and recreational venues.
