A press release signed and issued by the Command PPRO, DSP Kamal Datti Abubakar contained that following credible intelligence, on Monday 26/11/2018, operatives attached to State Intelligence Bureau (SIB) of the Command intercepted and arrested the suspect on his way from Jos to Bauchi.
The release further contained that the suspect is currently being investigated at the State Criminal Investigation and Intelligence Department (SCIID) after which he will be charged to court.
It would be recalled that on Sunday, 18 November 2018, Bauchi State Police Command arrested 76 suspects in connection to the crisis in Yelwa Tsakani area of Bauchi metropolis, following a fight between two rival groups of youths at a birthday party organized by one Patrick Zumunta alias (Dady Badiko) over a girlfriend, which led to the death of three innocent persons and destruction of two houses and a car in the area.

Since then, the Command in collaboration with other sisters Security Agencies have been making frantic efforts to ensure maintenance of law and order in the area and equally to bring the perpetrators of the criminal act to book.
The PRRO explained after the unfortunate incident, the aforementioned principal suspect, 26 years old Patrick Zumunta alias (Dady Badiko), ran away and hid in Jos, Plateau State in order to avoid arrest.
Datti Abubakar the assured that “Once again, the Command is determined to ensure that all perpetrators of the crisis will be brought to book, and solicit for the cooperation and understanding of good citizens of the State in its effort to make the State peaceful.”
