‘Black pride’, an online exclusive art show, organised to ensure individuals across the world appreciate the rich diversity and contributions of black artists to the world of art has been concluded, with fascinating works of talented artists like Eyitayo Alagbe, Damola Ayegbayo, and Damilola Ilori featuring at the exhibition.
The exhibition, according to the organisers, Tosin Oyeniyi and Constance and Sons Gallery, served as a reminder of the indelible mark that black culture has left on the world, shaping art, music, literature, and countless other aspects of human civilisation.
The show, which was hosted by ARTSY, held between July 24 and October 10, 2023, and in line, created a space for observers to reflect on their own cultural identity and engage in meaningful dialogues about diversity and inclusion.
According to the organiser, the title, ‘Black Pride’, presents a proclamation of self-affirmation and recognition of the strength and beauty within black culture; standing as a beacon of artistic expression, bridging gaps and fostering understanding in a digital realm where creativity knows no bounds.
Speaking on the choice of online exhibition, the organiser, in a statement, said, “In a digital world where artistic expression knows no bounds, the online exclusive art shows that ‘Black Pride’ serves as a testament to the richness and diversity of the black experience and as a symbol of empowerment and unity within the global artistic community.
“The virtual format of the exhibition opens its doors to art enthusiasts worldwide, transcending geographical boundaries and fostering a global community of appreciation for black art and culture.”
The participating artists, Eyitayo Alagbe, Damola Ayegbayo, and Damilola Ilori, use their artistic prowess to uplift the spirit and experiences of the black community. Through their paintings and mixed-media works, they celebrate the strength, resilience, and cultural richness that define black pride. These artists weave together a tapestry of pride, resilience, and unity within the black community.
The curator, Tosin Oyeniyi, believes ‘Black Pride’ becomes a cohesive and impactful display of artistic expression.

Damola Ayegbayo, with his skillful method of painting, brings a three-dimensional dimension to the exhibition.
