Development partners who undertake activities in partnership with the Ministry of Women Affairs would have office spaces allocated to them at the new building of the ministry for seamless engagement on women matters.
Permanent Secretary of the Ministry, Funso Adebiyi said this at his maiden meetings with the staffers of the ministry, with a plea that those affected by the relocation should understand that it was a move for the greater good of the Nigerian woman.
“We are planning to introduce workstations, and we are also planning to accommodate some Development Partners to set up their offices in the Ministry’s Building so that they can bring in their facilities and open such up for staff official access.”
According to him accommodation for the international and local partners would further foster the already existing bond, between the ministry and these partners, who play a critical role in building the Nigerian woman.
The Permanent Secretary said this in a statement signed by Director, Press and Public Relations, Mr Olujimi Oyetomi.
According to the statement, Engr Funso said the Headquarters building will be decongested as the Ministry has office space allocations in the Federal Secretariat which are under-utilized.
He said an inspection was done earlier with some of his directors to see unoccupied offices in the Federal Secretariat.
He assure the staff of the ministry that he would work with all of them to actualize the mandate of the ministry, especially matters that relate to the development of the Nigerian woman.
