Memories of the celebration of the 30 years anniversary of the Mountain of Fire and Miracles Ministries (MFM) would continue to linger in the memories of the founder and General Overseer of the church, Pastor (Dr) Daniel Kolawole Odukoya; his wife, Shade; ministers and members across the world, especially those who witnessed the celebration last Sunday at the Prayer City campground, including those that connected through social media.
The campground, on the Lagos/Ibadan highway, was a mecca-of-sort, as members, well-wishers and dignitaries from all walks of life trooped to be part of the history marking the 30th anniversary of the church.
The event with the theme: “Re-arranged for Revival,” also featured the presentation of awards to 311 youths of the church who made first-class degrees at various universities across Nigeria and beyond.

Lagos State governor, Mr Babajide Sanwo-Olu; his wife, Ibijoke and the Akwa-Ibom State governor, Mr Udom Emmanuel and a host of other dignitaries joined the church to celebrate its success story in the last three decades. The governors and dignitaries were also entertained with the performances displayed as part of the activities marking the event.
Sanwo-Olu, Emmanuel, and Mrs Odukoya presented award of excellence to the 311 youths of the church that made first class in various institutions within and outside the country.
“Rewarding graduates with first-class in this ministry for their exemplary academic performance was part of my 70-point plan for youth development. As part of my passion for youths, I had a 70-point agenda to ensure their success in all their endeavours. The award is one, the MFM football team is another. To the glory of God, both are doing well now.
“This award started in 2010 when we gave out 19 cars to first-class graduates. By 2013, the number of first-class graduates had risen to 77. We could no longer afford to give out cars, so we resorted to giving out cash awards. Now in 2019, we have over 300 deserving beneficiaries from various universities and institutions of higher learning across the world,” Olukoya said.
Speaking on the journey so far, Olukoya noted that the journey had just started, while describing the 30 years of the church as filled with uncommon testimonies and divinely-orchestrated uplift.
He, however, charged the congregation and the body of Christ not to relent in being righteous believers.
The Mountain Top University (MTU) Orchestra, MTU Chorale, guitar church choir, 10,000 mass choir, and first choir in MFM also had presentations, just as the church came alive when Olukoya and his wife gave a special rendition.
