We’ll restructure Nigeria, end impunity, recycling of politicians ― ADP

Published by

The leadership of the Advance Democratic Party, ADP, Christened “MEGA PARTY” seeking registration from the Independent National Electoral Commission, INEC ahead of the 2019 general elections, on Wednesday  vowed to restructure Nigeria  with a view to putting an end to impunity and recycling of politicians in the country.

Addressing news men in Abuja yesterday shortly after receiving in audience with the officials of the United States of America, USA, Embassy, at the Party’s National Secretariat, the duo of Engr Yagbaji Sani, its Interim National Chairman and Chief S O A Bankole, a Chieftain of the Party. declared that the main objective of the Mega Party was to create the opportunity for the Youths to take over the mantle of leadership in the country “while the old politicians take the back seats.”

They pointed out that the proposed Mega Party was a Child of necessity put together by some concerned Nigerians across the six geo-political Zones who could no longer sit by and watch the nation drift with her enormous human and material resources.

They however explained that what needed to be restructured in the Country was her economy which would give ample opportunity to every Nigerian to attain the greater height no matter religion, ethnic or culture differences.

According to them, this would give room for  new bloods to be injected into the act of governance in the country as against the current recycling of spent politicians with no new ideas.

Speaking, Mr Yagbaji Sani said “ADP is a Party of necessity which every Nigerian must join, all hope is not lost with ADP otherwise known as Mega Party, Nigeria will be great again, what Nigeria needs is prudence of her resources, our problem is leadership.

According to him, the American officials who came here were very pleased with what they met on ground, they asked about our aims and objectives, the constitution, and our economy policies.

“We told them that our economy policy will be a private sector driven one and that we are going to strengthen all Government Agencies to make them functional, once you this, you will have a strong government on ground”.

On his own, Chief Bankole said, “Nigeria is already a strong and great Nation, what we want to do is to restructure the economy and allow the younger ones to take the front seat for the Elders  to take the back seats and be correcting the younger ones where and when necessary.

“We are not going to restructure Nigeria as a Nation, Nigeria is big enough and there are benefits from that big size, we have resolved to continue to stay together, no nation goes to  war twice, economically, socially, politically and what have you, we are great and that greatness is coming back to Nigeria to our ADP.

“Impunity must go, we will ensure internal democracy, we are going to return party politics to the grassroots, right people will be elected or appointed into offices and positions, all of us who are already old we give way for the young ones to do things with new technologies and modern ways of doing things”.

The duo hailed the visit of the USA officials’ to the Secretariat, saying it was a good omen to the political development of the country.
