Afrobeat star Fireboy DML has weighed in on the recurring conflicts among Nigerian musicians.
In a recent interview on City FM, Fireboy emphasised that disagreements are a natural part of life and the music industry.
“Everyone should just focus on what concerns them. Let artists be artists, fans be fans, and the media keep telling the stories. Beef, everything is all normal. We are all human,” Fireboy remarked, referencing the latest dispute between fellow artists Wizkid and Davido.
During the interview, Fireboy also discussed his upcoming fourth album, Adedamola, which features collaborations with Lagbaja, Jon Batiste, Seun Kuti, and Spinall. He revealed that YBNL boss Olamide, who served as executive producer for the album, played a pivotal role in securing the collaborations with Lagbaja and Seun Kuti.
With Adedamola, Fireboy is set to deliver another memorable project, further cementing his place in the Afrobeat scene.
