“Your attitude is like a box of crayons that color your world. Constantly color your picture gray, and your picture will always be bleak. Try adding some bright colors to the picture by including humor, and your picture begins to lighten up. “ Allen Klein
Attitude is the settled way we think or feel. Attitude is our approach to ourselves and to the things and people we have encounters with. It shapes and determines our viewpoint and our position to things, events, people, situation and circumstances. They say your attitude will determine your altitude. This is true. Our attitude will determine how far we rise and how long we will stay on top. Our attitude will also determine if we will ever rise from a low level in life to the zenith. Our attitude determines how far we can go.
“Our attitudes control our lives. Attitudes are a secret power working twenty-four hours a day, for good or bad. It is of paramount importance that we know how to harness and control this great force. “ Tom Blandi
Our attitude will determine what we will get from life. Our attitude can either open or close doors. It can either make people help us or reject us. It can make us happy or miserable. Our attitude is a great determinant of how our lives will turn out to be.
“I am convinced that attitude is the key to success or failure in almost any of life’s endeavors. Your attitude-your perspective, your outlook, how you feel about yourself, how you feel about other people-determines you priorities, your actions, your values. Your attitude determines how you interact with other people and how you interact with yourself.” Carolyn Warner
In view of the vital importance of attitude we need to ensure our attitude is right every time and in whatever we do. Right attitude will produce right response which in turn will produce right actions and invariably right results. Wrong attitude on the other hand is a recipe for disaster, disgrace and frustration.
Nobody wants to relate with a person with a bad attitude. Bad attitude repels people from us. Bad attitude makes people to bypass us and makes people relate with people less endowed but with better attitude. A person who makes mistakes but has a good attitude will be tolerated than a person with little or no mistakes but has a bad or wrong attitude.
Bad or wrong attitude can manifest in different ways and in different areas.
The most important attitude is attitude to ourselves.
“Many of us have behavior patterns today that were programmed into our brains at a very tender age. The information that was recorded by our brains could have been completely inaccurate or cruel. The sad reality of life is that we will continue to hear negative information, but we don’t have to program it into our brains.
The loudest and most influential voice you hear is your own inner voice, your selfcritic. It can work for or against you, depending on the messages you allow. It can be optimistic or pessimistic. It can wear you down or cheer you on. You control the sender and the receiver, but only if you consciously take responsibility for and control over your inner conversation.
