Comrade Samuel Messiah Eze of the Department of Building, Faculty of Environmental Sciences has been declared winner and President-elect at the just concluded elections into the Students Union Government (SUG) of Nnamdi Azikiwe University (Unizik) Awka, Anambra State for the 2023/24 academic session.
The returning officer and Dean, Student Affairs Unit, Professor Makodi Biereenu-Nnabugwu disclosed that Eze polled a total of 1,354 votes to beat two other opponents, Solomon Omachionu Offor of Agriculture Economics and Extension Department (1111 votes) and Emmanuel Ezechukwu of Department of Philosophy (154 votes).
Tribune Online gathered that the election which was held virtually on Friday, August 23rd, 2024, recorded massive number of votes cast based on findings from the election monitoring room domiciled at the Students Affairs’ Unit of the University.
