Two middle-aged men, Waheed Okunola (aka Omo Ola) and Jimoh Azeez (aka Sake) were, on Tuesday, ordered to be remanded in Ilesa prison by a Magistrate Court sitting in Iree, Osun State for destroying the posters of the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) gubernatorial candidate, Omooba Dotun Babayemi.
The posters destroyed by them are said to be worth over N100,000.
The duo were said to have admitted to committing the offence and were handed over to the Divisional Police Officer in the area, prompting the Police to charge them to the Magistrate Court.
Accordingly, Magistrate Olugbenga Oladoke who frowned at the act as capable of breaching the peace of the area, ordered that they be remanded at Ilesa prison till Tuesday, April 19, 2022.
