Trump orders firing of all remaining ‘Biden era’ U.S. attorneys

United States President, Donald Trump, has ordered the immediate dismissal of all remaining U.S. attorneys appointed during the administration of former President Joe Biden.

The Republican president made this known in a statement posted on his X account in the early hours of Wednesday.

Trump emphasised the need to restore confidence in the country’s Department of Justice as the motive behind the bold move.

He described the agency as having been politicized over the past four years and called for urgent action to reform it.

Framing the move as essential to ensuring a fair justice system, Trump linked the decision to his broader vision for what he calls America’s “Golden Age.”

The statement reads, “Over the past four years, the Department of Justice has been politicized like never before. Therefore, I have instructed the termination of ALL remaining “Biden Era” U.S. Attorneys.

“We must “clean house” IMMEDIATELY, and restore confidence. America’s Golden Age must have a fair Justice System – THAT BEGINS TODAY!”
