For the Immigration Office of the Dominican Republic, the last few days have been most intriguing considering the huge flow of human presence around the globe to the country.
An official of the immigration office who spoke with the Nigerian Tribune at the country’s Punta Cana International Airport stated on condition of anonymity that the phenomenal increase in human traffic into the country was as a result of the two-day crusade which would hold on Friday, November 24 and Saturday, November 25, 2017.
“We have had a serious movement of people into our country since Sunday. Over 75 per cent of those who have been entering stated that they had come to attend the crusade that would be held in the country. Nigerian cleric, Prophet T.B. Joshua, is expected to hold the programme here,” he said.
It was gathered that the founder and Senior Prophet of the Synagogue Church of All Nations, with headquarters in Lagos, Nigeria, was making the visit following the invitation by the President of the Dominican Republic, Danilo Medina.
Very few hours after Prophet T.B. Joshua got into the country in the company of his wife, children and associates, he was received by the nation’s president, Medina. Images of the interaction between the president and the entourage of the Prophet Joshua were released on social media and a statement attesting to the visit of the cleric was released by the media team of the presidency.
The nation’s capital, Santo Domingo, is the venue of the crusade. According to the statement, “The event will gather more than 50,000 people and will have the support of the evangelical community of the country.
After the crusade, the cleric is expected to preside over a Pastor’s Conference on Monday, November 27.
Prophet Joshua’s last international visit was in Paraguay in August this year where he was honoured with the nation’s most prestigious, ‘National Order of Merit’.
