Senate President Bukola Saraki has asked the National Industrial Court sitting in Abuja to stop the workers of the National Assembly from embarking on industrial action over unpaid allowances.
The Senate President and the Speaker of the House of Representatives, Yakubu Dogara in an ex-parte motion which was signed by the Assistant Chief Registrar, Barrister Hauwa Yakubu want the Industrial Court for a restraining order stopping the workers under the Parliamentary Staff Association of Nigeria (PASAN) from proceeding on strike.
The “order of interim injunction”, issued through suit No. NICN/ABJ/360/2018 dated December 18, 2018, directed the leadership of PASAN and their agents to refrain from proceeding on strike.
It states inter alia: “An order of interim injunction restraining all the defendants /respondents, particularly their agents, provides, servants, however, called from taking steps to proceed or proceeding on strike, pending the determination of the motion. ”
“An interim injunction restraining PASAN, their agents, privies, servants from giving directives to their members to proceed or proceeding on strike.”
Recalled that the Parliamentary Staff Association of Nigeria in the National Assembly on Monday embarked on a four-day warning strike over unpaid allowances to the tune of N2.7 billion.
PASAN members were stopped from gaining access to the National Assembly on Wednesday when President Muhammadu Buhari presented the 2019 appropriation bill.

Imagine, are you not paid?why are you begging court to stop them, wont them have their own family to look after

U plan evil and evil shall follow u in’sha’Allah.
They don’t have fund to pay workers salary but one of them, even in jail, was paid N85m. You should not allow any sitting in that house until you are fully paid for your labour. Hold them tight.
Saraki knows he is a demon. How dare you compel the poor masses to work without getting paid? Saraki has stolen enough to clear the amount owed the striking workers. In his heartlessness, he drained every penny in Societe General Bank and closed it down. He drained every kobo he could lay his hand on, in Kwara state. Till date, he gets paid by the Kwara state government as well as the federal government. With all these, he is not touched that Nigerians earn less than #18,000 per month. He would rather buy courts judgement against the poor.
Saying Nigerians has surfers from APC. Look at what is happening to NASS staff are they not Nigerians. Bukola Saraki 8th sinate is calamitous….
Mr ore,why una no pay them before now?
