Stakeholders of the All Progressives Congress (APC) in Southern Kaduna have commended the peaceful and credible conduct of the party primaries in the zone, attributing the outcome to the leadership style of Uba Sani and the state party leadership.
The stakeholders gave the commendation in a communiqué issued at the end of the Southern Kaduna APC Unity Parley held on Monday in Kafanchan with the theme: “United for Victory”.
The communiqué, read by Hon. Ado Dogo Audu, Senior Counsellor on Political Matters to the governor, applauded Gov. Sani for creating an enabling environment for peaceful, transparent and credible primary elections across Southern Kaduna.
According to the communiqué, the governor’s role in fostering consensus arrangements in some areas, while insisting on democratic contests where consensus failed, reflected his commitment to internal democracy, fairness and respect for the rights of party members and aspirants.
It further noted that Kaduna State recorded no security incidents and no petitions before the party or the Primary Elections Appeal Panel challenging the credibility of the exercise in Southern Kaduna.

The stakeholders also passed a vote of confidence on the Atiku Sankey-led State Working Committee for conducting what they described as peaceful, transparent and widely accepted primaries in the state.
They urged all aspirants and their supporters to place party unity above personal ambitions and work collectively toward the success of the APC in the 2027 general elections.
The parley also cautioned party members against actions or statements capable of creating division within the party or bringing the party leadership into disrepute.
Stakeholders reaffirmed their commitment to delivering victory for APC candidates in Southern Kaduna and pledged to mobilise massive support for Bola Ahmed Tinubu and Gov. Sani in the 2027 elections.
Speaking to newsmen after the meeting, the State APC chairman, Atiku Sankey, said the event was significant because it sent a strong message to the public that the party had conducted a free, fair and credible exercise that produced its candidates.
Sankey noted that the party was now fully prepared for the general election and expressed confidence that it would deliver all its candidates in the 2027 elections.
He urged aspirants who lost during the primaries to close ranks and work toward the party’s success at the polls.
On his part, Sen. Sunday Katung, represented by the Director General of his Campaign, Joseph Ciroma, described the meeting as a platform for dialogue and unity.
“As we approach the general elections, it is important for us to come together to align our vision, strengthen our resolve, and speak with one voice,” he stated
