Forum hails Kwara, Katsina Speakers on securing APC tickets

The Progressive Speakers Forum of Nigeria has congratulated the Speakers of the Kwara and Katsina State Houses of Assembly for securing the governorship and senatorial tickets of the All Progressives Congress (APC) ahead of the 2027 general elections.

The forum also urged Nigerians to continue supporting the Renewed Hope Agenda of President Bola Ahmed Tinubu, describing his reforms as critical to repositioning and stabilising the nation’s economy for sustainable growth.

In a statement signed by the Chairman of the forum and Speaker of the Jigawa State House of Assembly, Rt. Hon. Haruna Aliyu Dangyatin, the group commended the President for what it described as exemplary leadership of APC governors and elected officials across the country.

Dangyatin also praised members of the Progressive Governors Forum for their continued support to state assemblies.

The forum specifically congratulated the Speaker of the Katsina State House of Assembly, Rt. Hon. Nasir Yahaya Daura, who emerged as the APC senatorial candidate for Daura Zone, and the Speaker of the Kwara State House of Assembly, Rt. Hon. Yakubu Danladi Salihu, who clinched the party’s governorship ticket during the recently concluded APC primary election.

According to Dangyatin, the political victories recorded by the two lawmakers have brought pride to the forum and reflected the growing confidence reposed in its members by the electorate.

He added that the forum was equally delighted with members who secured return tickets as APC flag bearers for another electoral cycle, noting that the development underscored their contributions to democratic governance and public service delivery.

“The forum will continue to promote the exemplary leadership of President Bola Ahmed Tinubu and work tirelessly towards his re-election for a second term,” he said.

Dangyatin further pledged the commitment of forum members to ensuring victory for all APC candidates at various levels in the 2027 elections.

“Not only will we work for President Bola Ahmed Tinubu’s re-election, but we will also collectively ensure victory for all APC candidates in order to deepen sustainable democracy and national development,” he stated.

He maintained that members of the forum remained committed to the ideals of rule of law, transparency and accountability, which, according to him, had continued to earn them public confidence.
