An All Progressives Congress (APC) gubernatorial aspirant for the 2027 election in Oyo State, Chief Adebayo Adelabu, as part of his resolve to support the re-election bid of President Bola Tinubu, over the weekend mobilised members of the party to support the President in the party’s presidential primary held across the state.

Adelabu, while speaking at Ward 9 in Ibadan South-East Local Government area of Oyo State noted that the reason he mobilised a good number of members of the party is that he believes President Tinubu deserves to continue in office till 2031 because of his policies which are driving Nigeria towards the path of greatness.

He said the turnout of members demonstrated the party’s backing for the president’s re-election bid, expressing confidence that Tinubu would emerge victorious in the 2027 general election.

Adelabu, described the overwhelming support of APC members in the state and across Nigeria for President Tinubu as a reflection of his commitment to ensure effective democracy.

He said: “We did not do any affirmation because there was no consensus arrangement. All we did was proper election and President Tinubu carried the day 100 percent, so he scored 433 votes out of 437 registered members of in our ward, which is ward 9 of the South East Local Government.

“We are very happy that the President has displayed a reflection of good governance in the last three years, which we expect him to continue in the next dispensation, come 2027,” Adelabu, concluded.
