Soso, who worked with Five Star music for more than 10 years, said it was time for him to move on, contributing successfully to the success of the label that is owned by Limpopo singer, Kcee and his younger brother, E-Money.
The record label has been in the eye of the storm for over one year and the management led by E-Money, has managed to put its house in order despite the obvious cracks that saw one of its popular artistes, Harrysong announcing his exit from the company about two months ago. The Raggaeblues singer’s exit raised dust that took weeks to settle.
Soso has now floated White Lion Global, among other subsidiaries like White Lion Management, which majors in key areas such as talent management, celebrity bookings, event/project directing and multi-media consultancy.
In a statement, he said: “Against any unfounded and baseless rumour, I wish to state that I single-handedly took the decision to move on to pursue my dream as an entrepreneur, having spent over ten years of diligently working with the company.”
He said further: “As a founding member, through dedication and hard work, I was able to build FIve Star into an entertainment brand that is today recorgnised globally. It is not out of place to chart a new course for myself.”
