I recently commenced my eight-month-old son on supplementary cereal feeding. A week after this, he started passing greenish mucoid stool. Please tell me what to do as I am a first time mother.

Some baby formulas usually have high amount of iron supplement which can turn the baby’s stool into green colour and sometimes, make the stool to be mucoid. In order to confirm the correct diagnosis, it will be advisable for you to take a sample of your baby’s stool to the laboratory for a proper investigation which will include the name of the correct drug to be used.
