Sokoto: Ex PDP legal adviser, others defect to APC

THE Legal Adviser of the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) in Sokoto State, Alhaji Nasiru Sahabi Tambuwal has defected to the All Progressives Congress (APC).

The defection was announced in Dange town, headquarters of Dange/Shuni Local Governments during the campaigns for the 2019 general elections.

Other defectors include a former Special Assistant to Governor Aminu Waziri Tambuwal, Alhaji Yaro Illelar-Gajara, APC Woman Leader in Tambuwal local government, Hajiya A’in Sokoto, former Chairman, Matawalle G-23 and another top notcher of the party, Alhaji Hamza Yeriman Shuni, among others.

The former PDP chieftains said thousands of their supporters across their respective wards have also moved along with them to the new party.

Speaking on behalf of the defectors, the former Legal Adviser, Sahabi Tambuwal and the former Special Assistant, Alhaji Yaro Illelar-Gajara, said they left their former party sequel to the lack of justice and fairness in it.

They also stated that they joined APC because of its determined focus, as well as the patriotism, fairness and trustworthiness of its leaders.
