Smart Casual is the new Fad

Fashion is one that is in a constant state of flux. There is therefore a need to stay up to date. Exquisite men do not need a definition of formal or casual clothing or the type of wears that fits into these categories. What about when you are confronted with Smart casual? While definition seems to be varied, it would be safe to stick with smart casual as a clothing style that is neat, conventional and on the border line between formal dressing and casual wears.Like the definition, it’s somewhere in between and while there are no rules cast in stone when it comes to smart casuals, the following can be of great help:

Turn up the lights

Don’t take that literally; dark coloured clothes are seemingly more casual than light coloured ones, so when you are done dressing and you see it’s too sharp; you can swap the white trainers for a black one or even change the washed jean into a dark blue one.

Mix the rough with the slick

When it comes to measuring sharpness of dressing, texture matters. When you intend to achieve a smart casual style, you may want to throw your suede jacket into the wardrobe and go for waer  flannel waistcoat. You will look more casual, you could also  wear a blazer over a traditional slick suit. Once you ensure that your infusion is cool you will come out looking gorgeous.

Mind the shoes

Your best bet for smart casuals are sneakers. You must watch your choice of shoes while keeping in mind the rule of thumb for texture. If you must wear a shiny, smooth shoe, then you should roughen things up a bit on the upper side.

Dress comfortably and stay in line with the fashion of the day. That is the maxim of smart casual.
