Senator Wamakko, APC candidate did not call me ― Tambuwal

The Governor of Sokoto State has clarified the rumour circulating on social media by saying he never received any congratulatory calls, either from his former Deputy and APC candidate, Alhaji Ahmed Aliyu or Senator Aliyu Wamakko.
Governor Tambuwal stated this during his first interactive session with working journalists in the state since he was declared the winner of the governorship re-run election in the state.
He reaffirmed his appreciation to the people of the state on the all-important “342”, the difference in the figure that determines the winner of the State election.
According to Tambuwal, ” The 342 figure is the slimmest figure in the history of Nigeria politics and I promise to always remember the figure by working tirelessly for the people of this State.
He dedicated his victory in the elections to God, saying if it is money or human being, it is not going to be as is it today.
He reaffirmed that his administration is going to improve on the supply of water which he said has improved tremendously in the last six months, especially within the state metropolis.
He further disclosed that in his second term, the administration will ensure on the provision of 24 hours portable water supply for the entire 23 local governments area of the State.
On the issue of security, the Governor blames the recent happenings where bandits attacks and killed people in some places in the State like Rabbah, Goronyo, Sabon Birni, Isa and recently Kebbe to infiltration of bandits from Zamfara State borders.
He explained that his administration is working with the Sultanate council, traditional rulers, and district heads on intelligence gathering, saying the government is working with federal security agencies on how to restore permanent security to every part of the State.
The Governor while appreciating the women of the State said, “In the history of Sokoto State, no government has given women recognition like this administration in appointment into the cabinet and other relatives programme for our female children.
“I did not only appoint about seven of them as assistants, but we also have three women as commissioners, while in each of the 23 local governments, we have three women councillors.
“We also provide free education up to university levels for them while giving their mothers five thousand naira on each female students to encourage them” he disclosed
