The Coalition of Nigerian Youth Leaders (CONYL), the umbrella body of all the youth groups drawn across the six geopolitical zones has called for stronger support to the Nigerian Security and Civil Defence Corps (NSCDC) for its effective security services in the country.

In a statement issued in Owerri on Sunday by the President General of CONYL, Comrade Goodluck Ibem, the body appreciated the Commandant General of NSCDC, Dr. Ahmed Abubakar Audi for being an unflinching pillar of security and national stability.

He said: “It is with great pride that we take this moment to commend his outstanding leadership.”

According to the PG, Dr. Audi since his appointment, has exhibited unparalleled dedication to the advancement of the NSCDC and the security of the nation.

The youth body praised his visionary leadership, unyielding commitment to professionalism, and resolute focus on ensuring the safety of Nigerian citizens and national infrastructure.

The PG said that he has been instrumental in transforming the Corps into one of the most efficient and respected security organizations in the country.

He said: “Under Dr. Audi’s guidance, the NSCDC has significantly enhanced its operational capacity, expanding its reach in providing critical security services in communities across the nation.”

CONYL said that the emphasis on staff welfare, training, and the effective use of technology has ensured that the Corps remains agile and responsive to the ever-evolving challenges of internal security.

He enumerated some of his key achievements including strengthening national security by playing a vital role in protecting critical infrastructure, combating cybercrime, and supporting the efforts of other security agencies in maintaining law and order.

Others include enhancing community engagement aimed at ensuring that Nigerians are not only protected but also actively involved in the fight against crime and insecurity.

For CONYL, Audi has promoted professionalism and capacity building through a robust training program implemented to equip officers with the skills and expertise needed to respond to modern security threats, ensuring a more effective and disciplined force.

He said that the Commandant General has been at the forefront of implementing innovative technological solutions, integrating advanced tools in surveillance, monitoring, and intelligence gathering to strengthen security operations.

He said: “Audi’s leadership style is built on integrity, accountability, and an unwavering sense of duty to the people of Nigeria.”

The PG said that Audi has continued to exemplify excellence in public service, maintaining the trust and respect of the people and ensuring that the NSCDC stands tall in the fight against terrorism, crime, and other security threats.

The body commended Ahmed Abubakar Audi for his tireless work and resolute leadership, which continue to contribute significantly to Nigeria’s security and stability.

He said: “We look forward to more successes under his leadership and we remain confident that the NSCDC, with Dr. Audi at the helm, will continue to be a beacon of security and service to our great nation.”
