Safe School: NSCDC launches response squad in Zamfara

The Zamfara State Commandant of the Nigeria Security and Civil Defence Corps (NSCDC), Sani Mustapha, has officially launched the Safe School Response Squad in the state.

In a press release issued on Thursday by the state NSCDC Public Relation Officer, Ikor Oche, said the launching of the squad is sequel to the order given by the Commandant General of the NSCDC, Abubakar Ahmed Audi.

According to him, under the Safe School Initiative program of the Commandant General it was aimed in the quest to revamp, restructure, rejig, rejuvenate and reposition the Corps in  line with international best practices.

Commandant Sani averred that the maiden launch of this Squad was sequel to the directives and marching order issued by the Commandant General Dr Abubakar Ahmed Audi in the last quarterly meeting held recently at the Headquarters in Abuja.

The state Commandant reiterated his resolve to comply in totality with the order given by the Commandant General of the Corps. 

According to the statement, an official vehicle has been branded for the Safe Schools Response Squad and all needed support was provided by the State Commandant.

He further disclosed that Zamfara State Government has been engaged in fruitful discussions on the modalities to provide a center for the corps as operational base in the state.

Commandant Sani assured that the state Command is committed and dogged in ensuring a safe School and learning environment for students  in all categories of academic endeavors.
